Sunshine Coast Wedding, New, Old and Current Traditions
Amazing 'Mondo Floral' Flower Installation
Some things in life really need to be done the traditional way, age-old way. We all want to write our own history, forge our own path and do it ‘our way’ but very few things in life evoke as much tradition, expectation and emotion as a wedding. These conventions are usually preserved with the rest of your Wedding Day running as you wish:
- A Proposal (yes, this can be either partner) so many perfect places on the Sunshine Coast to do this!
- Asking the parents or father of the bride for permission to marry the bride
- The bride walking down the aisle with a parent (usually dad but it can be mum and dad) Other options are with a sibling, children, alone, or one I particularly Iove is the couple together; this a great and powerful statement of two people already entwined in every way
- Each partner and their bridal parties getting ready before the wedding separately
- Not seeing the bride until the moment she walks down the aisle
- The First Dance together
- Exchanging of wedding rings as a visual and tangible reminder of the day
- ‘The Kiss’ after being declared as a newly married couple!
- Changing your name to that of your partner (either partner may do this)
- During my Wedding Ceremonies ,legally there are only just a few things we are required to do within the ceremony, the rest can be exactly as your hearts desire!
