Our first meeting is without obligation 🙂 we will get together to have a relaxed chat, I will ask you general details about your ceremony, such as time and place, guests, reception venue etc and I find out about your wishes for your ceremony and give you plenty of ideas to guide you, as well as explaining the legal process. You may ask me as many questions as you wish whether about your ceremony or about your wedding in general. If I don’t know the answer, I will find out for you. I have many suppliers with whom I regularly work in the industry so am able to give personal recommendations too. I will chat to you a little, about how you met and things you like about each other
During this informal meeting hopefully I will have put you at ease and you may already have an idea if you think I am right for your special day and we my even commence the legal paperwork then and there especially if you are from further away.
If not, that is also fine, we always say that “each couple finds the celebrant who is right for them”~ hopefully I am that one! but please go with your heart as that is what I wish for you.
If you would like me to be our celebrant, I do ask for a deposit of $150 to secure your date, many couples book with me very far in advance so this is necessary to keep your date for you!
Wonderful, now we have the magic happening, I will send you a quick link to complete the first initial form which is very straightforward, it is called the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) and from this I commence the other paperwork which I will ask you to sign in my presence at our next meeting
I also send you a fun questionnaire to fill out so I can find out some interesting facts about the two of you to incorporate into a paragraph as a lovely introduction to make the ceremony entirely yours.
I will email you my vast collection of Wedding Readings and Vows for you to choose from or you may prefer to write your own, I will offer advice on how to start.
We will arrange our next meeting, sign the paperwork and discuss the ceremony in more detail and from being with you both, I am able to discover more about you which is part of my process of writing.
I will commence writing your ceremony and email it to you for you to let me know which parts to keep/swap/delete/change etc. This will happen as many times as is needed to get it perfect for you
I am always available to answer your queries, you are more than welcome to contact me whenever you wish and I will contact you if I need any more information, if, for example, you are awaiting a council permit or prior divorce certificate etc
Somewhere between 2 days to 2 weeks prior to the ceremony, depending on how busy you are we will have a short rehearsal, to practice our standing positions and the vows
As most celebrants, I do ask that your final balance is settled 14 days prior to the Wedding Day
On the morning of your wedding I usually text you to touch base
On YOUR DAY I will arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your entrance checking everything, liaising with the other suppliers, saying hi to your guests and offering words of support to the groom. We will start the ceremony as soon as you arrive, please don’t keep your groom waiting too long, he will already be nervous!
